Zach Bryan was arrested Thursday in Vinita, Oklahoma after an incident with police.

Bryan was taken to jail where he was booked and charged with obstruction of investigation. He later explained on social media, “Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said. I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize.”

Zach’s mugshot was taken and has already been widely circulated on social media. He shared a video on social media early this morning and explained that he was first pulled over by an officer earlier in the week and was asked for his name and address. Zach says he wasn’t comfortable providing his address and was briefly arrested. But after he calmed down and gave his address, the officer took off the handcuffs and let him go.

Then on Thursday, he got back on the road to drive from Oklahoma to Boston to see the Philadelphia Eagles play the New England Patriots on Sunday. His friend was driving behind him in a separate car and was pulled over. Zach also stopped and got frustrated with how long the traffic stop was taking and he got out of his car to talk to the officer. The officer ordered him to get back in his car and that’s when Zach got lippy and started arguing with him. He says, “I felt like a child. It was ridiculous. I was immature and I just pray everyone knows I don’t think I’m above the law. I was just being disrespectful and I shouldn’t have been and it was my mistake.”

Zach says he spent a few hours in jail and he cooled off. He eventually shook hands with the officer and was released. He adds, “I was just an idiot and I’ll take the fall for it. I’m a grown man and I shouldn’t have behaved like that.”
