Reba Mcentire and Narvel Blackstock announced they’re separating after 26 years of marriage. She’s 60, he’s 58. They have one son together, racecar driver Shelby Blackstock. They released this statement yesterday:
“Narvel and Reba announced they’ve been separated for the past few months. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other. They’ve worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so.
“They have asked that you respect their privacy during this time.” The “working together” refers to their professional relationship. He’s her manager and it sounds like that’s not going to change.
His company also reps Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. Kelly’s married to Brandon Blackstock, who is one of Narvel’s three children with his first wife. Reba’s first marriage ended in 1987.
