You might not know this, but now you do. I have a podcast. “As It Was Written; The Story behind the song”. I get together with an artist or songwriter about the backstory of a song that they had great success with. This week, I spent some time with Nate Smith and got the backstory of his song “Whiskey On You”. It was his first number one song. The vocal on the song was the original vocal from the writing session at a lake house. That vocal was recorded at the kitchen table. That’s one of the nuggets of info we found out about.
