Researchers have created a system using RFID tags to help people keep track of their keys, cell phones and even lipstick.
People would put RFID (radio frequency identification) tags on their items they frequently lost. And they carry a mobile monitoring system with them.
The system can keep track of items a user carries in their purse or bag and alerts them when any item is removed or simply missing from the bag.
The Ramos Alarm Clock is designed so that the snoozer has to physically leave bed and enter a PIN code into a wireless panel to silence the buzzer.
The clock's manufacturers suggest placing the PIN code panel as far away as possible, like in another room.
Don't think you can merely fly out of bed, hit any old number, and retreat back under the warm covers. The PIN code has to be entered correctly - and, in a custom version, could be programmed so that the code had to be entered a number of times.
